Sowing biodiversity and prosperity

SELVA Sustainable Landscapes Program

To be part of the change and really contribute to the diverse efforts to conserve biodiversity, we must provide solutions and actions that integrate both nature and people. Furthermore, these solutions must be based on sound knowledge allowing the identification of intervention areas to optimize conservation efforts.

SELVA is generating an intervention model that can overcome environmental, social and territorial challenges, to ultimately reconcile productive processes with conservation.

This program's objectives are:

Develop and implement a replicable and sustainable model to restore and increase hábitats for groups of focal species.

Design and implement conservation strategies in transformed áreas for the maintenance of functional landscapes.

Generate alliances with local stakeholders to direct conservation initiatives.

Strengthen capacity in local communities for sustainable and regenerative agriculture.

Support the declaration of areas under any conservation figure, that allow protection of biodiversity and of critical ecosystems for groups of focal species.
