I lead initiatives to identify knowledge gaps and conservation priorities of focal species and groups.

I also study the factors and processes that explain patterns in the distributions of populations, species, and their vulnerability to extinction.

I enjoy designing and implementing training courses and workshops to build capacity in the use of statistics and spatial analyses to study biodiversity. I am a member of the IUCN Commission for Species Survival.
